Sorry,
I won’t be coming to the USA while there is a blanket ban on visitors from
certain muslim-majority countries and while people from UK seem to be
arbitrarily barred on the basis of their colour and/or religion. It’s a shame
because I would have liked to attend.

Thanks for letting me know. I assume that the “systems error” you refer to is the fact that there is a blanket ban on citizens from a number of majority-muslim countries entering the USA and that institutional racism is rampant among immigration officials, leading to arbitrary and unpredictable exclusions of people of colour, including an English schoolteacher accompanying his class.
I had not realised that this systems error had been
resolved. If so, that would certainly be very good news indeed. However other
sources suggest to me that the problem does indeed persist and so I’m afraid
that it looks as though you will indeed need to “troubleshoot further”.
